My devotion to jasmine lies with my childhood in Grasse. As a child, I used to harvest jasmine at dawn, picking the white porcelain flowers one by one, their smell was green, transparent and intoxicating. By noon, the last of the last white petals released a warm smell of orange blossom. By night, the forgotten flowers, now yellowed, emanated a happy, deep animalic fragrance. If its perfume was given rhythm by the time of day, then its nature never changed. Admiring this work of nature was my inspiration to imagine the perfume in a different way, to play with its elements and change its effects to make it unique and forever Jasmine.

The diamante citron fruit is the most celebrated citrus in Calabria by well known poets such as Byron and D’Annunzio. The Cedro Di Diamante has a unique quality of being a non acidic citrus that is fresh and sweet often used for culinary purposes. At one point in the 80s almost abandoned by perfumers for its highly illicit content of furocumarins. With the innovative abstraction technology, the oil is now extracted without furocumarins and bans were lifted.

The Bergamotto Di Calabria contains the precious material called the ‘Bergamot sponge’. The extraction is still done manually. First the fruit is sliced in half and the pulp is manually removed with a special incurved knife. Then the rind is compressed on a natural sponge in a circular motion to collect the essence. The essence accumulated is the most delicate and complex and resembles a fruity and floral note of jasmine. This phrase simply states that among all flowers the rose is truly unique and today we have more than 50 varieties. I answered this delicate flower’s provocative calling with soft and voluptuous notes, and among all I have chosen the May Rose as it is the most cultivated flower in Grasse. For me Rose de Mai smells the brightest and most cheerful.

A British family asked to plant this elegant tree on the French Riviera where they would spend the winter months. Unintentionally, the demand for the mimosa flowers became so great that they were inevitably planted in Tanneron. Mimosa extract first appeared in perfumery in the 1940s.
