The Aegean islands facilitated contact between the people of the area and between Europe and Asia.
EGE is the Turkish name for the sea that is derived from the Greek name ΑΙΓΑΙΟ. Having both names together as the perfume name (EGE / ΑΙΓΑΙΟ) is a deliberate choice by NISHANE in order to pay homage to the skies and culture shared by the Turks and Greeks who are the neighboring residents of the Aegean, which, like Heredotus said: a world of summer sea breeze, deep blue waters with every pebble in the background clearly visible, towns and villages filled with houses painted white and blue, a common kitchen bond, shared instruments and lyrics that have a feeling of nostalgia mixed with hope, a coexistence and interdependence of centuries.
