NANSHE is the name of a Sumerian goddess of fertility, water, and social justice, who was believed to be the patroness of dreams and prophecy. He cared for orphans and widows, supervised justice, fresh water, birds and fish, fertility, and favored the prophets, giving them the ability to interpret dreams accurately.
Together with perfumer Cecile Zarokian, the main challenge was to create a fragrance that reflected the kind, compassionate, welcoming and wise attributes of this divine figure. His goal is to bring fertility for more positive vibes and souls to make the world a better and fairer place to live.

My devotion to jasmine lies with my childhood in Grasse. As a child, I used to harvest jasmine at dawn, picking the white porcelain flowers one by one, their smell was green, transparent and intoxicating. By noon, the last of the last white petals released a warm smell of orange blossom. By night, the forgotten flowers, now yellowed, emanated a happy, deep animalic fragrance. If its perfume was given rhythm by the time of day, then its nature never changed. Admiring this work of nature was my inspiration to imagine the perfume in a different way, to play with its elements and change its effects to make it unique and forever Jasmine.

The Mimosa arrived in Provence in the middle of 19th century. Blossoming in the heights of the trees around Hyde Park and The Cristal Palace. A British family asked to plant this elegant tree on the French Riviera where they would spend the winter months. Unintentionally, the demand for the mimosa flowers became so great that they were inevitably planted in Tanneron. Mimosa extract first appeared in perfumery in the 1940s. Since its arrival in perfumery, Mimosa can often be found in the most famous and prestigious compositions. As a perfumer, Mimosa Tanneron can be described as an ode to tenderness, sweetness, and the sensations of blossoming love.

"A rose is a rose is a rose..." this famous saying written by Gertrude Stein, one of the most prominent artists of the 20th century. This phrase simply states that among all flowers the rose is truly unique and today we have more than 50 varieties. Roses can be light, sublime, fresh, seductive, soft and also erotic when blended with patchouli and musk. I answered this delicate flower’s provocative calling with soft and voluptuous notes, and among all I have chosen the May Rose as it is the most cultivated flower in Grasse. For me Rose de Mai smells the brightest and most cheerful.
