A multifaceted fragrance, Poivre Impérial delicately balances both warm and cool tones. It is composed around two opposing, totally unexpected ingredients: Pepper and Lotus Flower. How can two completely different ingredients blend so well together?
Warmed by a note of saffron, a duo of peppers (black pepper and Sichuan pepper) is galvanised by frankincense. This sacred resin accentuates its spiciness and adds substance. Top notes full of character! Behind this burst of spices, floral heart notes open up like the corollas of a lotus flower. Turkish rose, sourced from a certified fair trade For Life supplier, is combined with Indian jasmine to form the petals of a lotus that is truer than life. With some added aquatic notes, the flower seems to be floating delicately on the water.

Black pepper, recognisable by its fresh, invigorating, woody notes, instantly expresses an explosive power. To make this perfume pack an even bigger punch, Jean JACQUES has married it with a mix of warm spices (saffron with leathery notes and cumin) and fresh spices (coriander seeds and nutmeg). Both aromatic and woody, essence of elemi is a resin originating from the Philippines that offers an ideal transition between spicy top notes and the woody frankincense heart notes that linger in this mysterious scent. Dark Labdanum (a warm amber resin), patchouli (woody and smokey), modern woody notes… Poivre Sacré reveals warm and powerful aromas that are reminiscent of oriental fragrances featuring precious and captivating oud.
